Terms of Service

DocuFillr turns PDF documents into fillable forms. You can fill them in yourself, share them with a link and download the completed PDFs. DocuFillr is under active development: features may change, and the service may sometimes be unavailable.

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher, to create an account.

We take reasonable steps to protect what you store (see our Privacy Policy), but no system is perfectly secure, and that does not make it appropriate to store information that should not be there.

You keep ownership of the documents you upload, the forms you build and the answers you collect ("your content"). You give us permission to store, process and display your content only as needed to run DocuFillr for you, for example to show your forms, fill in PDFs and send them to you.

You are responsible for your content and confirm that you have the right to upload it and to use it with DocuFillr, including any copyright in the documents.

When you share a form, you are the one collecting information from the people who fill it in. You agree that:

• you are the controller of the answers (the person or organisation deciding why and how they are collected), and DocuFillr only processes them on your behalf;
• you have a lawful reason to collect them, you tell people how you will use their information, and you obtain any consent that the law requires;
• you will answer requests from people who filled in your forms (for example, to see or delete their answers);
• you won't use shared forms to deceive people or to collect information they wouldn't expect to give.

For security, shared links expire and accept a limited number of responses. You can renew them at any time.

You must not use DocuFillr to:

• break any law, or infringe anyone else's rights;
• phish, impersonate someone, or collect sign-in details or payment information;
• send spam, or share forms with people who haven't asked for them;
• upload malware, or content that is unlawful, abusive, hateful or sexually exploits anyone;
• probe, overload or get around the limits and security of DocuFillr (including automated scraping or submitting forms in bulk);
• resell or provide DocuFillr to others as your own service without our written permission.

We may remove content, turn off share links, or suspend or close accounts that break these rules, or to protect DocuFillr, its users or the public. Where reasonable, we will tell you first.

• Completed PDFs are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically. The answers stay in your History until you delete them.
• Uploaded documents that you never save as a form are deleted after 48 hours.
• You can delete forms and submissions at any time. Deleted data cannot be recovered.

Keep your own copies. DocuFillr is not a backup service, and we are not responsible for content that is lost, deleted or becomes unavailable.

DocuFillr has a Free plan and a paid Premium plan. The current limits and prices are on the pricing page. We may change the limits; we will tell you in advance before a change reduces what your plan includes.

• Premium is a subscription, paid monthly or yearly in advance through our payment partner, which acts as the seller and handles VAT. It renews automatically until you cancel.
• You can cancel any time from Plan & billing. You keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for; we don't refund part-used periods, except where the law requires it.
• If you return to Free, nothing is deleted. You can't add new forms until you are within the Free limits.
• If a payment fails and isn't resolved, your account returns to Free.

Until payments open, everyone is on the Free plan and nothing is charged.

DocuFillr is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Automatic field detection is a convenience: always check that a form and its completed PDF are correct before you rely on them or send them to anyone.

To the fullest extent the law allows:

• we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, business or goodwill, arising from your use of DocuFillr or from not being able to use it;
• we are not liable for content you or others upload or collect, for how you use the answers you collect, or for errors in completed PDFs;
• our total liability for any claim relating to DocuFillr is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer under the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

You agree to compensate us for any claims, losses and reasonable costs (including legal fees) that arise from your content, the forms you share and the information you collect, or from your breach of these terms or of the law.

You can stop using DocuFillr at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@docufillr.com. We may suspend or end the service, or your access to it, at any time; if we shut DocuFillr down we will try to give you reasonable notice to download your data.

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using DocuFillr after a change, you accept the updated terms.

Please contact us first: most problems can be sorted out quickly. These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the operator of DocuFillr lives, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. This does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, or your right to bring a claim there.

If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about DocuFillr.
